Akshaya Patra Foundation USA is a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises funds and awareness for The Akshaya Patra Foundation's school meal programs in India. Together, we support nutritious morning breakfasts and mid-day meals that improve attendance, retention, and learning outcomes for children in underserved communities.

From 1,500 Meals to Billions

Founded in 2000, the program began by serving 1,500 meals a day in five schools in Bengaluru. As results grew, the model scaled through innovative kitchens and efficient delivery systems that help serve hot, nutritious meals at large volume.
