Learn more ›Proper nutrition during pregnancy and early childhood is essential for lifelong health. Maternal malnutrition directly affects a child’s physical and cognitive development, leading to intergenerational challenges.
Through Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), we support children (0–6 years) and pregnant and nursing mothers with essential nutrition and care.

Akshaya Patra has endeavored to utilize its kitchen infrastructure and resources to undertake emergency food assistance during natural disasters to provide nutrition & health support.
Over the years, we have enhanced our execution capabilities for humanitarian efforts through need-based approaches. These include providing freshly cooked food, utilizing our mobile kitchens, setting up temporary kitchens, and distributing food relief kits.

Food Transport Vehicle – TATA 407
The food transport vehicles are used to transport the hot cooked meals to the children. The vehicles come with different models and sizes. The vehicles are built specially with insulated bodies so that the temperature of the food can be maintained.
Briquette boiler
Briquette boilers are used to provide steam energy for cooking in some of the kitchens. The kitchens have two Briquette Boilers each one is used alternative days. The briquettes are prepared from agriculture waste and burned in the boiler.
Effluent treatment plant
Provide orphaned children with healthcare, including vaccinations, check-ups, and treatments to keep them healthy.
